2027 Ford Ranger Preview

While we haven't been able to confirm anything, the new 2027 Ford Ranger could receive a mid-cycle refresh after launch. With the new Ford Ranger Raptor joining the lineup for 2026, there's not much we expect to change. However, Ford has been known to surprise drivers with upgrades to packages and powertrains, which could be the case for the new Ford Ranger arriving later this year.

With large displays, including the 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, the biggest upgrade we would love to see in the new Ford Ranger is the swap from SYNC 4A to the all-new Ford Digital Experience, which is featured in other new Ford models. Other potential updates for the new 2027 Ford Ranger could include more availability of safety and advanced driver-assistance features, along with new exterior paint colors.

The 2027 Ford Ranger lineup of midsize trucks offers four models: Ranger XL, Ranger XLT, Ranger Lariat, and Ranger Raptor. The latest addition to the lineup is the Ranger Raptor, the top-of-the-line off-road truck, equipped with 2.5-inch FOX Racing Shocks with live valve technology and Watts-Link rear suspension.

We don't anticipate any changes to the lineup this year, given the current models and packages, such as the FX4 Off-Road Package for the Ford Ranger XL and the Sport Appearance Package for the Ranger XLT and Lariat models, and what they add to upgrade your midsize Ranger truck. With upscale features including heated leather seats and a heated steering wheel, along with large displays and rugged capability, the new 2027 Ford Ranger will be the perfect upgrade for a drive that's big on comfort and convenience.
