Yes, Ford is making a Mustang in 2026. The 2026 Mustang adds a touch of old-school cool with the new FX appearance package offered on GT Premium trims. Drawing inspiration from the beloved Fox-body Mustangs, it blends vintage flair with today’s sharper design.
Models equipped with the Performance Package turn heads even more, featuring Oxford White wheels reminiscent of the classic Cobra, plus matching white accents on the grille, badging, and available taillights for that perfect retro finish.
The 2026 Mustang has a starting price of $32,320.
When looking at the 2026 Mustang lineup, there’s 6 trims to pick from. The trims are the EcoBoost Fastback starting at $32,320, the next trim is the EcoBoost Premium Fastback starting at $36,345.
Moving on to the GT Line, you start off with the GT Fastback coming in with a price of $45,560, with the GT Premium Fastback starting at $51,080.
Moving to the top of the lineup, you have the Dark Horse starting at $64,080, with the Dark Horse Premium starting at $69,075.
Out of all of the trims, the one that stands out to the experts at Car and Driver is the GT. This is because they note that they “recommend taking advantage” of the V8 that is offered. They also recommend pairing it with the 6-speed manual transmission, giving this an even more responsive ride, while the V8 can give you 480 horsepower, making it a zippy ride.
The most unique trim is the Dark Horse. This one comes track ready, equipped with a 5.0L V8 that can push 500 horsepower. This allows it to hit speeds of 166 miles per hour, able to do a quarter mile in just 4.1-seconds. This also comes with 19-inch wheels that are paired with a Brembo brake system.
